Wireless Cameras

Whilst it is preferable that home security systems are installed when building a house, many of us do not have such a luxury of being able to afford this; particularly at the moment. However, with so many homes being burglarized these days, it is advisable that a security system is installed. With wireless cameras now available, this is something that is open to all.

The obvious benefit to them is there are no wires, which means that installation costs and the work involved is significantly reduced. With older systems, it would have taken at least a week to fully install a system, with a lot of disruption and mess around the home.

The cost of installation is a lot cheaper. Most of this is quite obvious of course; less labour time is needed, fewer materials are required to do the job. Indeed, many smaller systems can be installed in a day by you and a few friends. Just make sure you trust those friends though!

There is also practically no limit to where wireless cameras can be placed around the home either relying as they do on radio frequencies to send information back to the receiver. They can also be easily moved around the house, should you decide another area needs greater coverage or you do a spot of redecorating.

The distance that the cameras can be placed from the receiver will depend on the system you buy of course. However, the range they can send information is increasing all the time and, with strengths improving they are able to send through a host of solid objects.
Costs vary of course, with the cheaper wireless cameras transmitting somewhere around seven hundred feet. More expensive systems can have a range up to an impressive ten miles. Alternatively, boosters can of course be purchased to help with any far placed cameras you may wish to install; perhaps at the far perimeter of your property.
